Description
SM Zn EDTA 15% supplies zinc, the micronutrient behind protein synthesis, gene expression, and the auxin that drives shoot extension, in a fully EDTA-chelated and plant-available form. Zinc deficiency is widespread on weathered acid soils and on calcareous soils, where the element binds to clay and carbonate and triggers shortened internodes, small leaves, and rosetting. With the entire 15% zinc content held in a soluble chelate, the product corrects these disorders directly, and it suits foliar application, fertigation, and hydroponics.
Key Benefits
- Corrects zinc deficiency in available form. It delivers zinc protected in a soluble chelate, keeping the element absorbable on the acid and calcareous soils where it would otherwise adsorb to clay or carbonate and become unavailable.
- Restores protein synthesis and shoot growth. Zinc maintains the structural stability of many enzymes, takes part in DNA and RNA metabolism, cell division, and protein synthesis, and is essential to the metabolism of the auxin indole-acetic acid that drives apical growth, so correcting it relieves stunting, little-leaf, and rosetting.
- Stays available in hard water and moderate pH. The EDTA ring keeps zinc in solution through the moderate pH range of most foliar tanks and fertigation water, resisting the precipitation that wastes non-chelated sources.
- Feeds cleanly, without unwanted salts. Because the product is free of sulphates, chlorides, and nitrates, it corrects zinc without adding the accompanying anions or salinity load that simple mineral salts carry into the root zone.
- Dissolves fast and completely. The free-flowing, dust-free micro-granules are self-soluble, dissolving without residue for reliable tank mixing and trouble-free injection.
How It Works
Micronutrient deficiency in the field is usually a problem of availability, not true scarcity. Once a metal cation such as iron, manganese, zinc, copper, magnesium, or calcium enters the soil or hard irrigation water, it reacts readily with hydroxides, carbonates, and phosphates to form compounds the root cannot absorb, so visible deficiency can appear even where the element is physically present. EDTA chelation answers this directly: the chelating agent wraps the metal in a stable ring that keeps it soluble and shields it from those reactions, holding the nutrient in a form the plant can take up. EDTA maintains this protection across moderate pH conditions, which makes it well suited to foliar sprays, hydroponic solutions, and fertigation on neutral to slightly acidic soils.
In SM Zn EDTA 15%, the full declared content of the element is chelated, so every unit applied is delivered in the available, root-ready form rather than as a simple salt that can revert to an insoluble compound. The micro-granules are fully water-soluble and dissolve cleanly without residue, and because the production route uses no sulphates, chlorides, or nitrates, the material introduces no unwanted accompanying anions into the tank or the root zone. The outcome is a clean, predictable correction in which the deficient element reaches the crop quickly, whether the aim is preventing a shortfall before symptoms emerge or correcting one already visible.
When to Use SM Zn EDTA 15%
Apply preventively on zinc-fixing soils, or correctively when shortened internodes, small leaves, or rosetting appear.
- SM Zn EDTA 15% suits early growth and establishment, when zinc demand for shoot extension is highest.
- It fits cereals and maize through early to mid season, where zinc shortage limits elongation and yield.
- It integrates into foliar and fertigation programmes on weathered acid soils and calcareous soils that immobilise zinc.
On calcareous soils zinc deficiency often coincides with iron deficiency, so confirm which element is limiting before treating, since the chelate corrects the zinc fraction rather than masking a parallel iron shortage.
Confirm compatibility with a small-scale jar test before combining with other inputs in the same tank.
NPK 30-10-10+TE concentrates its analysis on nitrogen, most of it in urea form, to fuel the rapid leaf and shoot growth of the vegetative phase. Alongside the 30% nitrogen it carries a background of phosphate and potassium, 2% magnesium (MgO) for chlorophyll, and an EDTA-chelated micronutrient package. Fully water-soluble, it dissolves to a clear solution […]
NPK 20-20-20+TE supplies nitrogen, phosphate and potassium in equal measure, the profile growers reach for when a crop needs steady, all-round nutrition rather than a stage-specific push. It is fully water-soluble and dissolves to a clear solution, carrying its nitrogen across nitrate, ammoniacal and urea forms for a mix of immediate and sustained availability, alongside […]
NPK 19-19-19+TE carries its nitrogen entirely as nitrate and ammonium, with no urea, so the feed behaves predictably in the tank and in the root zone. It supplies nitrogen, phosphate and potassium in equal balance and is fully water-soluble, dissolving to a clear solution with an EDTA-chelated package of iron, manganese, zinc, copper, boron and […]
NPK 16-8-34+TE lifts potassium for fruit development while holding more phosphate than a pure ripening grade, bridging the stage where a crop is still setting fruit but potassium demand is climbing. Its potassium is drawn from potassium nitrate, delivering high, chloride-free potassium with nitrate-led nitrogen, alongside a retained phosphate fraction and an EDTA-chelated micronutrient package. […]
NPK 15-30-15+2MgO+TE lifts phosphate for flowering and fruit set while keeping nitrogen and potassium balanced and adding magnesium for chlorophyll. The 30% phosphate supplies the phosphorus that bud development and bloom demand, backed by nitrogen across nitrate, ammoniacal and urea forms, 2% magnesium (MgO), and an EDTA-chelated micronutrient package that includes boron. Fully water-soluble, it […]
