Description
TERRA ROOTING is the TERRA range’s most comprehensive rooting formula, stacking fulvic acid, phosphorus, free amino acids, and IBA in one product to address root initiation and the root system’s ongoing growth, rather than the initiation trigger alone. It carries 45% organic matter, 39% as fulvic acid, 3.4% total amino acids, 6% polysaccharides, 5% phosphorus (P2O5), 6% water-soluble potassium (K2O), and a supporting 0.3% IBA. Applied through soil or fertigation, it addresses root initiation, the phosphorus demand of new root tissue, and ongoing nutrient uptake in a single program.
Key Benefits
- Triggers root initiation. IBA is a recognised auxin that plants convert into active IAA, initiating new root formation at transplant, after propagation, or at any point the root system needs to expand.
- Fuels new root tissue growth. Phosphorus (P2O5) supplies the energy currency new root cells need for division and elongation, supporting the root system IBA has just initiated.
- Feeds the biology around the developing root zone. The free amino acids in TERRA ROOTING feed the microbial activity in the rhizosphere around the newly forming roots, with nitrogen cycling back to the plant as that activity turns over, complementing the phosphorus and IBA driving root growth directly.
- Improves micronutrient availability. TERRA ROOTING’s fulvic acid chelates micronutrients, supporting the uptake the developing root system depends on.
- Supplies water-soluble potassium. TERRA ROOTING carries 6% potassium (K2O) in water-soluble form, supporting the plant’s water relations and overall nutrition alongside its rooting actives.
How It Works
TERRA ROOTING combines a vinasse-derived fulvic acid base with phosphorus, free amino acids, and a supporting dose of IBA, stacking four distinct actives into a single rooting program rather than relying on any one of them alone. That vinasse and molasses base also carries the soil organic carbon and structural benefits documented for both as soil amendments, alongside its rooting actives.
IBA converts to active IAA through a beta-oxidation pathway in root tissue, triggering adventitious root initiation, a signal reinforced by the auxin and other plant growth-promoting compounds naturally present in vinasse. Phosphorus then fuels the ATP-dependent cell division and elongation of the root tissue those signals initiate. Fulvic acid’s chelating activity supports micronutrient availability around the developing root system, while the free amino acids primarily feed the biological activity in that same root zone, with nitrogen cycling back to the plant as microbes turn over rather than being absorbed intact in bulk.
When to Use TERRA ROOTING
TERRA ROOTING is built for the window from root initiation through early establishment.
- Apply TERRA ROOTING at transplanting or direct seeding to support root initiation.
- TERRA ROOTING supports cuttings and young plants through propagation and the early rooting stage.
- Follow-up fertigation applications through early vegetative growth sustain root development as the plant establishes.
Cold soils, transplant shock, and compaction all slow a plant’s own root-initiation response, which is exactly when TERRA ROOTING’s combined actives matter most.
